US annual inflation rate (CPI) at the end of 2026?

Market Rules

This event predicts the annual United States CPI inflation rate (CPI-U) for the 12 months ending in December 2026, measured as the year-over-year percentage change compared with December 2025. The Primary Designated Source (PDS) is the official CPI-U data published by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) in its Consumer Price Index release for December 2026.

If the BLS changes its CPI methodology prior to publishing the December 2026 data, Futuur will determine the most comparable CPI-U figure to preserve the original intent of the markets. The markets will be resolved using the initially published data, without considering later revisions. Resolution will prioritize the substantive economic outcome over minor technicalities in presentation, and Futuur may cancel the markets with a public explanation if a fair determination becomes impossible.
