According to New Scientist, Michael Atiyah claims that he has a proof of one of the Millenium Prize Problems known as the Riemann hypothesis. The hypothesis, if proven correct, would have huge implications in number theory, namely in the understanding of prime numbers.

If Atiyah's proof is published or announced for publication in "a refereed mathematics publication of worldwide repute" (as determined by the Clay Mathematics Institute, organizer of the Millenium prize) before the end of 2019, then this question shall be resolved as "yes". If not, or if it is disproven or otherwise rejected by the Clay Mathematics Institue prior to the end of 2019, then it shall be resolved as "no".
