Market Rules

The Brazilian government scheduled the seventh round of airport infrastructure concession auctions to take place by the third quarter of 2022. The round's capital expenditure is estimated at 5.28 billion BRL, to address an annual demand of roughly 39.32 million passengers.

The auctions will be divided into regional groups of airports. The RJ-MG Group consists of the airports of Santos Dumont, Jacarepaguá (RJ), Uberlândia, Montes Claros and Uberaba (MG), which amount to 1.7 billion BRL in investments. This group will be submitted to private agents for bids on a date yet to be announced.

If the auction of RJ-MG Group of airports ends with the complete distribution of all its airports to operators interested in the project, this market will be resolved as “Yes”.

This market might be adjusted according to eventual delays in the concession round or changes in its rules, which might include the composition of the groups that are open to bids. If the auctions are canceled, the market will be also be canceled, and all the active wagers will be returned to their owners.
