Big Mac Index: how will the Swiss franc compare to the US dollar at the end of 2021?
Market Rules
The Big Mac Index is a lighthearted measure of currency valuation created by The Economist magazine. By comparing the prices in US dollars of a simple basket of goods (a McDonald’s Big Mac sandwich) in many countries, it suggests the presence of local currencies distortions.
The winning outcome of this market will be the one that that more accurately describes how the Big Mac Index for the Swiss franc compares to the US Dollar in terms of undervaluation or overvaluation.
This market will be resolved based on the latest issue of the raw Big Mac Index (not GDP-adjusted) referring to 2021, with the US dollar as its base currency, as published by The Economist magazine, regardless of whether that index is published in early 2022 or near the end of 2021.
