Will the alleged benefits of cannabidiol in patients with heart failure be scientifically demonstrated by the end of 2023?

Market Rules

Heart failure is a serious disease, responsible for a large number of fatalities worldwide. Cannabidiol is a substance extracted from cannabis, which has been studied for medicinal use since the 1970s. Nonetheless, only in 2021 did researchers at the Heart Institute of the University of São Paulo (USP), in Brazil, begin to carry out the first scientific study involving cannabidiol for the treatment of heart failure.

If by the end of 2023 the results from the study conducted by USP indicate that using cannabidiol leads to positive effects of the substance in patients with heart failure, this market will be resolved as “Yes”.
