In recent years, Brazil lost positions in the Press Freedom Ranking made by NGO Reporters Without Borders, and recent attacks made by president Jair Bolsonaro - who, in August 2020 declared he wished he could "punch a journalist in the mouth" - raised the speculations around the country's position in the upcoming editions of the ranking.

If Brazil ranks worse among the countries listed in the 2022 edition of Reporters Without Borders' Press Freedom Ranking (to be released in 2023) in comparison to how it ranked in the previous edition of the same ranking (released in 2022 with data from 2021), this market will resolve to "Yes".
