Will Russia annex any part of the Moldovan territory in 2025?

The Russian military operation in Ukraine in February 2022 suggests the possibility of the Russian government deploying troops and weapons to other former Soviet Union areas of influence containing ethnic Russian populations. The Transnistrian region in Moldova is one of these areas, to the West of Ukraine.
If Russia claims authority over any portion of the Moldovan territory and deploys military forces over the referred area by December 31, 2025, this market will resolve to "Yes".
If Russia claims to have annexed territory but the occurrence of such de facto annexation is subject to controversy and lacks confirmation by reputable sources, Futuur will use its discretion to determine whether this constitutes a "Yes" resolution.
