Will Brazil's 2026 Annual Budget Law be approved by the end of 2025?
Market Rules
This market will resolve based on whether Brazil’s Annual Budget Law (Lei Orçamentária Anual – LOA) for 2026 is formally approved by the National Congress by the final day of the legislative year (expected to take place on December 18, 2025) as defined in the official congressional budget schedule. The LOA will be considered approved when it passes both houses of Congress and is sent for presidential sanction, regardless of whether the President has signed it by that date.
Primary Designated Source (PDS): the official portal of the Brazilian National Congress, the real‑time official broadcasts of proceedings on TV Senado and TV Câmara, and their official news feeds (e.g., Agência Senado and Câmara Notícias). If these PDS sources show that the LOA 2026 was approved by Congress on or before the final day of the legislative year in December 2025, this market will resolve to “Yes”; otherwise, it will resolve to “No”. Secondary Confirmation Mechanism (SCM): if PDS information is unavailable or ambiguous, Futuur will rely on confirmation from reputable news outlets chosen at its discretion. Resolution will reflect the substantive approval of the LOA by Congress, not minor procedural details or publication format changes. If no fair determination can be made, the market may be cancelled.
