Pope to allow women to preach masses by the end of 2026?
Market Rules
This event predicts whether the Pope will formally allow women to preach during Catholic Masses by December 31, 2026. The Primary Designated Source (PDS) will be official changes to Canon Law or authoritative Vatican documents confirming the authorization of women to preach at Mass.
If Canon Law or official Vatican directives are amended to explicitly allow women to preach during Mass by the end of December 31, 2026, this market will resolve to "Yes". Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". Permissions limited to non-Mass settings or informal practices without canonical authorization will not count. If official Church documents are ambiguous, the Secondary Confirmation Mechanism (SCM) will rely on consistent reporting from major Catholic or international news organizations. Resolution will reflect formal canonical authorization, not isolated practices. If a definitive determination cannot be made, Futuur may cancel this market with a public explanation.
