Abelardo de la Espriella still President of Colombia through the end of 2026?

If Abelardo de la Espriella, sworn in as President of Colombia on August 7, 2026, continuously holds the office of President of Colombia from the opening of this market through January 1, 2027 at 04:59 UTC (11:59 PM ET on December 31, 2026), this market will resolve to "Yes". If he ceases to hold the office for any period of time before that deadline — for any reason, including resignation, removal, permanent incapacity, replacement, or death — this market will resolve to "No".
An official announcement of his resignation or removal before the deadline resolves this market to "No" immediately, no matter when the announced resignation or removal takes effect, and that resolution is final and irrevocable even if he is subsequently reinstated. Temporary delegations of presidential functions under Colombia's constitutional rules — such as to a ministerial delegate (ministro delegatario) during foreign travel or a medical procedure — do not count as ceasing to hold office, provided he remains the sitting President.
