Will Airbnb's valuation be lower than $31 billion one month after going public?
Market Rules
IPOs of tech unicorns such as Uber and Lyft have gathered a lot of expectation around their valuation, but often resulted in a decrease in the value of stocks shortly after going public.
Nevertheless, differently from other tech unicorns, AirBnb maintained positive EBITDA in 2017 and 2018. Pitchbook reported a private valuation for the company of $31 billion in September 2017. Will it maintain this value 1 month after going public?
For the sake of this question, a company's worth is defined as the company's market capitalization. If 30 days after going public AirBnb's valuation is below 31 billion dollars, this question will be resolved as "Yes".
In case Airbnb announces they're not going public by the end of 2020, this question will be cancelled, and all wagers will be returned to forecasters.
