Will the Supreme Court of Brazil annul any PEC concerning imprisonment after conviction by an appellate court?

Market Rules

Given that Article 5 of the Constitution of Brazil is an immutable clause, there is a possibility that the Supreme Court may be called to annul any Constitutional Ammendment Project proposing that defendants who were convicted by an appellate court can be imprisoned even if they are still appealing to higher courts.

If the Supreme Court is called to debate the constitutionality of any Constitutional Ammendment which expands - in comparison to what was in effect in November 2019 - the range of cases in which a defendant can be imprisoned after a conviction by an appellate court, and votes for the annulment of such ammendment on or before December 31st, 2020, this market will be resolved as “Yes”.
