Talks of possible presidential candidates in the Brazilian general elections of 2022 started to mount early, given the instability and low approval rates of Jair Bolsonaro's government during its first year. As early as December 2019, some of Bolsonaro's political adversaries were already testing the waters, seeking to build viable candidacies for the presidential race.

Among the possible candidates, despite having performed poorly in 2018, Marina Silva (Rede) might have enough time to rearticulate a viable candidacy in 2022. If Marina Silva officially registers as a presidential candidate in the Electoral Justice by the deadline to take part in the 2022 general elections in Brazil, this market will be resolved as "Yes".
