Will NASA's "DART" mission manage to displace the orbit of asteroid Didymos' moon?
Market Rules
One of NASA's upcoming space missions - the DART - intends to launch a spacecraft towards the asteroid Didymos in 2021. The spacecraft is expected to arrive at its destination in September of 2022, aiming at hitting the moon surrounding the asteroid and displace its orbit. The technique is expected to be effective in deflecting asteroids that threaten the Earth in the future.
If the mission succeeds - to the point that telescopes on Earth can detect a change in the orbit of asteroid Didymos' moon as a direct result of the mission - this market will be resolved as "Yes".
