Will the Fake News bill be voted by Brasilian House of Representatives in 2020?
Market Rules
Brazil speaker of the House, Rodrigo Maia (DEM-RJ), said he intends to vote the bill that hardens the fight against fake news still in 2020. President Jair Bolsonaro is one of the main critics of the bill, which has already passed in the Senate, alleging that the text discussed aims to limit freedom of expression. Maia says that if debates go well in the House, there will likely be a majority to approve the bill.
If by the end of legislative year of 2020, the 2630/2020 bill is voted on in the Brazilian House of Refrentatives - regardless of whether it is approved or rejected - this market will be resolved as "Yes".
