Will Brazil and China close a bilateral free trade deal by the end of 2022?
Market Rules
The Brazilian Minister of Economy has declared in November 2019 that he had talked with Chinese authorities about the possibility of creating a free-trade zone between the two countries. That is in line with the Brazilian administration's recent take on international partnerships, which emphasizes trade agreements to boost its development.
Brazil and China have plans to tighten cooperation in many areas, but there are growing uncertainties surrounding multilateral arrangements in trade issues worldwide. Will these countries manage to close a free-trade agreement by the end of 2022?
If negotiations between Brazil and China are concluded and the parties sign an agreement by December 31, 2022, this market will resolve to "Yes". It is not necessary, for this market's resolution, that the countries ratify the document internally in this period.
