The Primary Designated Source (PDS) is FIFA’s declaration of the award winner. The Best FIFA Football Awards 2025 ceremony is expected to take place in January 2026.
If FIFA’s announcement is postponed, unclear, or inaccessible, the Secondary Confirmation Mechanism (SCM) will rely on at least three reputable sports outlets such as ESPN, BBC Sport, and Reuters Sport. Futuur will resolve according to who FIFA officially recognizes as the winner, not media speculation. If no confirmation is possible, the market may be cancelled.
