Will Claudia Sheinbaum be Mexico's president through the end of 2026?
Market Rules
This market will resolve based on whether Claudia Sheinbaum is recognized as the President of the United Mexican States as of December 31, 2026 at 23:59:59 UTC, according to the official Government of Mexico (for example, the Presidency or federal government’s primary website and official communications), which will act as the Primary Designated Source (PDS). If, at that time, the Government of Mexico lists or refers to Claudia Sheinbaum as the sitting President, this market will resolve to "Yes". If, at that time, any other individual is recognized as President or the office is vacant, this market will resolve to "No".
If official government sources are significantly delayed, unavailable, contradictory or ambiguous, Futuur will apply a Secondary Confirmation Mechanism (SCM) based on a clear consensus among at least three major independent international news organizations regarding who is serving as Mexico’s president at the specified time. Resolution will be guided by the substantive, commonly understood reality of who holds the presidency, rather than minor technicalities in how titles, timestamps or pages are formatted. Futuur is committed to a fair and transparent resolution process and may cancel the market if, after reasonable efforts, no clear determination can be reached from the designated sources.
