Market Rules

The Varieties of Democracy Research Project (V-Dem) is based in the University of Gothenburg and studies democracy and democratization of countries, combining different core principles of this type of regime (electoral, liberal, majoritarian, consensual, participatory, deliberative, egalitarian) into a single index.

This scholarly political science effort of the V-Dem Institute generates yearly Democracy Reports, accounting for the different levels of democratization worldwide. In the most recent report, Brazil was depicted as a nation that partly reversed an autocratization process of years, ranked among the Electoral Democracies of the world.

If Brazil remains within the top 10-20% countries by score in the 2027 Democracy Report from Insitute V-Dem, this market will resolve to “Yes”.
