Will Paramount's acquisition of Warner Bros be concluded in 2026?

This market predicts whether Paramount Skydance Corporation's acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, Inc., under the definitive merger agreement announced on February 27, 2026, will be concluded in 2026. If the acquisition is completed (the transaction formally closes) at any point on or before December 31, 2026, 23:59:59 UTC, this market will resolve to "Yes". If the acquisition has not been completed by that time, this market will resolve to "No".
"Concluded" refers to the completion (closing) of the transaction — not its announcement, shareholder approval, or regulatory approval, all of which have already occurred. Completion means Warner Bros. Discovery (or a successor entity holding substantially the same businesses) comes under the control of Paramount Skydance Corporation or one of its affiliates. Amendments, revised terms, or a restructured form of the transaction still qualify, provided closing occurs within the period and Paramount (or an affiliate) acquires control of Warner Bros. Discovery or its successor. Temporary court orders, litigation, or regulatory conditions do not by themselves resolve this market. Resolution occurs at the first moment completion is verifiably confirmed and is final.
The Primary Designated Source (PDS) will be official communications from Paramount Skydance and/or Warner Bros. Discovery confirming completion of the transaction — press releases and filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (such as a Form 8-K reporting the closing), available via SEC EDGAR.
