Which party will control the House after the 2020 election?

Market Rules

On November 3rd, 2020, all 435 seats from the House of Representatives will be in dispute. The elected representatives will start their term in the 117th United States Congress on January 31st, 2021.

If on February 1st, 2021, at least 218 of the sitting representatives are from the same party, such party shall be considered the winning outcome of this question. If no party reaches 218 representatives, this question may be cancelled.

For the sake of this question, a representative is considered to be from a specific party when: A) he/she is elected with a ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with such party, or B) he/she has publicly stated an intention to caucus with such party.

Despite the fact that representatives will only take office on January 31st, Futuur may decide to resolve this question at any point between November 4th, 2020, and February, 1st, 2021 - or later, if needed - when it considers the official election results, concession speeches and eventual legal actions taken by parties have finally made clear what party (if any) will control the House of Representatives in the 117th US Congress.
