Will the tax reform extinguish the ISS in Brazil in 2020?

Market Rules

The new battlefield of the Bolsonaro government is the approval of a tax reform. Allies and opposition already present their proposals in a race to meet the demands of their bases. The main points under discussion concern the extinction of some taxes, as is the case of the ISS.

If the tax reform proposed by the Brazilian government is approved by Congress and extinguishes ISS (Portuguese acronym for "Service Tax" in Portuguese), this market will be resolved as "Yes".

If the tax reform is rejected by Congress - or in case it is approved but does not include the end of ISS - this market will be resolved as "No"

If the tax reform does not come to a vote by the end of 2020, it will be up to Futuur's editorial team to decide whether to postpone the deadline for this market's resolution or to cancel it - in which case all the Ooms that were invested on it would be returned to forecasts.
