Will the tax reform establish a Unique Taxation in Brazil in 2020?

Market Rules

The new battlefield of the Bolsonaro government is the approval of a tax reform. Allies and opposition already present their proposals in a race to meet the demands of their bases. One of the main points under discussion concerns the creation of the "Unique Taxation" (Imposto Único), which would unify virtually all previous taxations under a single tax.

If the tax reform proposed by the Brazilian government is approved by Congress and creates a Unique Taxation (Imposto Único), this market will be resolved as "Yes".

If the tax reform is rejected by Congress - or in case it is approved but does not include the creation of the so-called Unique Taxation - this market will be resolved as "No".

If the tax reform does not come to a vote by the end of 2020, it will be up to Futuur's editorial team to decide whether to postpone the deadline for this question's resolution or to cancel it - in which case all the Ooms that were invested on it would be returned to forecasts.
