Will Fernando Haddad run for president in 2022?
Market Rules
Talks of possible presidential candidates in the Brazilian general elections of 2022 started to mount early, given the instability and low approval rates of Jair Bolsonaro's government during its first year. As early as December 2019, some of Bolsonaro's political adversaries were already testing the waters, seeking to build viable candidacies for the presidential race.
Among the possible candidates, Fernando Haddad managed to get a good vote in 2018, which may validate him as a strong candidate of the workers' party (PT). If Fernando Haddad officially registers as a presidential candidate in the Electoral Justice by the deadline to take part in the 2022 general elections in Brazil, this market will be resolved as "Yes".
