Will Brazil's speaker of the House open an impeachment process against Bolsonaro in his first term?
Market Rules
Some analysts believe that since Jair Bolsonaro became president of Brazil, in 2019, he already committed several acts that could suit the definition of a Crime of Responsibility, which is a legal condition to open an impeachment process against him. With a poor economic recovery and fears that the Covid-19 pandemic can still harm the economy, many think that Bolsonaro's political strength might start to erode to the point in which an impeachment process could become a real possibility.
If Brazil's speaker of the House of Representatives (Presidente da Câmara dos Deputados, in Portuguese) accepts any impeachment request against President Bolsonaro by the end of 2022, and determines the opening of a committee to evaluate the accusations, this market will be resolved as "Yes".
