Will Covid-19 infection kill more people than tracheal, bronchial and lung cancer globaly in 2020?

Market Rules

According to the World Health Organization, cancer of the trachea, bronchi and lung causes 1.7 million deaths per year worldwide.

If the number of deaths that happen globally as a direct result of COVID-19 infecction is greater than 1.7 million by the end of 2020, this question will be resolved as "Yes".

This question will be resolved based on the official statistics from the World Health Organization (WHO). If by January 5th, 2021, the WHO does not commit to a definitive number of deaths caused by the Covid-19, Futuur will reserve itself the right to use data from another credible source that does provide an official count of deaths - such as the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at John Hopkins University (https://gisanddata.maps.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashboard/index.html#/bda7594740fd40299423467b48e9ecf6) - to resolve this question.
