Market Rules

Lunar dust is sticky, abrasive, can damage spacesuits and equipment, and even poses a health risk if it reaches the lungs. That's why the 2021 edition of NASA's Breakthrough, Innovative and Game-changing (BIG) Ideas Challenge will be aimed at finding creative solutions to solve the problem of lunar dust. The challenge is open to students at schools and universities in the United States, who need to figure out how to remove these unwanted particles, or at least make surfaces impervious to it.

The teams must present their solutions on a panel at the BIG Idea forum on November 17, 2021, and will be evaluated by experts from NASA and the aerospace industry.

If any team manages to prove the effectiveness of the solutions they found in the BIG Idea forum, and convince the evaluators of that, this forecast will be resolved as “Yes”.
