Pete Buttigieg ran in the 2020 Democratic Party presidential primaries but failed to be nominated as the Party’s candidate. Will he hold office in Joe Biden’s cabinet now that he has won the election?

If Pete Buttigieg is announced by Joe Biden as the head official for a cabinet post or as a cabinet-level post in the Biden administration (expected to begin on January 20, 2021), this market will be resolved as “Yes”.

To resolve this market as "Yes", Buttigieg's name has to be announced as the first to fill his post in Biden's administration.The nomination does no need to be confirmed by the US Senate for this market to be resolved as "Yes".
