Joe Biden has mentioned the Paycheck Protection Program a few times as a way to help workers and businesses. The program offered forgivable loans to companies with fewer than 500 employees to keep their employees on the payroll and prevent companies from failing
Although the program expired in August, Biden declared he is certain that it needs to get back up and running to support companies and employees while the Covid-19 pandemic is still ongoing.
If by December 31, 2024, the Biden Administration resumes the Paycheck Protection Program, this market will be resolved as "Yes", regardless of its purpose or the status of the pandemic.
