Will Russia Be Allowed to Rejoin G7 Countries to Reform G8 in 2021?
Market Rules
Following Russia's annexation of Crimea in 2014, Russia was suspended from G8, and later abandoned the group for good. In 2019, however, Donald Trump defended the return of Russia to the - now G7 - group, reinstating G8 as it used to be.
If on or before December 31st, 2021, the G7 formally invites Russia to return to the group to take part in its 2021 summit, and Russia accepts the invitation, this question will be resolved as "Yes".
