When will King Charles III replace the Queen in the pound note?
Market Rules
After the death of Queen Elizabeth II of England, flags, mailboxes, stamps, and other National symbols can be adapted to include references to the enthroned king, Charles III. A change is expected to the late queen’s image on coins and notes of the 80 billion pounds currently in currency.
This market will resolve in favor of the outcome containing the period in which the first sterling pound physical bill containing the image of King Charles III is publicly displayed.
If the Bank of England announces there will be no replacement of the Queen’s image on the sterling pound bills the new bills are only displayed after September 1st, 2023 - this market will resolve to “Not before September 1st, 2022.
