Will Brazil's GDP show negative quartely growth in any quarter of 2023?
Market Rules
Factors such as the Brazilian basic interest rate hike from 2.00% to 13.75% and the US 120 points rate hike in less than two years anticipate limitations to the development of Brazilian economic activity in a near future.
If, between the first quarter and the fourth quarter of 2023, any of Brazil's quarterly GDP results presents a negative growth rate, this market will resolve to “Yes”.
This market will be resolved according to results published by the Brazilian Institute for Geography and Statistics (IBGE).

Although this market is not about entering a technical recession (which would require 2 consecutive quarters of contraction), it does use the same kind of metric for a single quarter. That is to say the comparison should be made to the immediately previous quarter.
