Amazon to announce AWS' spin-off by the end of 2024?

Amazon Web Services' (AWS) former vice-president Tim Bray stated to the Business Insider website that there was a high probability that Amazon.com's CEO Andrew Jassy would spin AWS off Amazon.com. Apart from the higher margins and growth of AWS compared to Amazon's other services, Bray argued that the company would have it better by anticipating antitrust measures in a planned manner rather than being eventually forced by US authorities to do that.
If by December 31, 2024, Amazon.com spins off AWS's structure as an independent company, and not an operational subsidiary unit, this market will resolve to “Yes”. The official public announcement of this separation by a spokesperson of Amazon.com will be sufficient to resolve this market, even if the structure change only takes place in 2025 or after that.
