PSDB to cease to exist in Brazil by July 1, 2026?
Market Rules
This market aims to predict whether the Brazilian Social Democracy Party (PSDB, or "Partido da Social Democracia do Brasil", in Portuguese) will cease to exist as a political party by July 1, 2026.
The criteria considered to determine the end of the PSDB's existence are:
- Merger with or incorporation by with another party (or parties);
- Dissolution by court decision (as a consequence of illicit practices, inadequate accounting, failure to meet the threshold clause, among other reasons);
- Voluntary dissolution.
The occurrence of any of these situations alone by the referred date will be sufficient for the market to resolve to "Yes".
In cases of merger, incorporation, or involuntary dissolution, the disclosure of the decision by official party channels or reputable news outlets will be enough to resolve the market. If the party ceases to exist due to a court decision, the publication of the court ruling will be required.
Any edge cases not covered by these rules at the time the market was opened will be evaluated separately by Futuur.
