Mike Johnson still Speaker of the House at the end of 2025?

This market aims to predict whether Mike Johnson will remain the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives at the last session day before the 2025 Christmas recess. The market will resolve as “No” if, at any time before this deadline, Jonson ceases to serve as Speaker of the House due to a vote of removal, resignation or replacement through an official process recognized under US rules.
This market will also be resolved as “No” if Mike Johnson formally announces his intent to step down from the position of Speaker of the House, even if the departure is scheduled for a later date. The market will also resolve to “No” if the position of Speaker of the House becomes vacant for any reason, including Johnson’s temporary or permanent inability to fulfill the role, as formally recognized by the U.S. House.
The official records of the U.S. House of Representatives, public statements or press releases from Mike Johnson or his office and reputable news outlets will be considered reference sources to resolve this market.
