Will Algeria and Morocco reestablish diplomatic relations by EOY?

Market Rules

In August 2021, the Algerian government unilaterally severed diplomatic ties with Morocco, after accusing the country of supporting Berber militants who were supposedly responsible for fires in the Algerian territory. Both countries have maintained a tense relationship for years (including a previous period of severed ties from 1976 to 1988) and have closed frontiers since 1994.

If Algeria and Morocco reestablish diplomatic ties on or before December 31, 2025, this market will resolve to "Yes".

If Algeria and Morocco restore some diplomatic functions but fall short of full relations, Futuur will use its discretion to determine whether this constitutes a 'Yes' resolution.
