Will Glauber Braga have his parliamentary mandate revoked in Brazil in 2025?
Market Rules
This market predicts whether Brazil's federal representative Glauber Braga (PSOL-RJ) will have his parliamentary mandate revoked during the year 2025, in the process that, as of April 30, 2025 (the date this market opened), was awaiting a vote in the plenary of the Chamber of Deputies.
The market will resolve to "Yes" if the following conditions are met:
- The aforementioned revocation process against Glauber Braga must be brought to a vote in the plenary of the House of Representatives at some point between May 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025, or the beginning of the 2025 year-end parliamentary recess (whichever comes first).
- In the plenary vote, at least 257 federal deputies (absolute majority) must vote in favor of revoking the mandate.
- The Governing Board (Mesa Diretora) of the House of Representatives must formalize the revocation of the mandate, publishing the decision in the Official Gazette.
If the current revocation process against Glauber Braga is archived, rejected, or terminated for any reason before or without reaching a plenary vote, this market will resolve to "No" immediately. The same will occur if the process is voted on and receives fewer than 257 votes in favor of revocation.
If Glauber Braga's mandate ends for other reasons unrelated to the current revocation process (such as voluntary resignation, for example), and the House decides not to proceed with the revocation process after the end of the mandate, the market will resolve to "No" at the moment the mandate ends. However, if the House decides to proceed with the process even after the end of the mandate, the market will await the result of the plenary vote to determine the resolution of the market.
This market will be resolved based on verifiable information from official sources of the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies, official judicial decisions, and coverage from reputable press outlets.
