Kim Jong-Un still Supreme Leader of North Korea through the end of 2026?
Market Rules
This event predicts whether Kim Jong-un will remain the supreme leader of North Korea through December 31, 2026. For this market, Kim Jong-un will be considered no longer supreme leader if North Korea officially declares he is no longer Chairman of the State Affairs Commission (SAC), or if another person is officially recognized by the North Korean state as commander-in-chief with greater authority. The Primary Designated Source (PDS) will be official North Korean state announcements regarding leadership positions.
If Kim Jong-un is still officially recognized as supreme leader through the end of December 31, 2026, this market will resolve to "Yes". Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". Temporary absences due to health or other reasons will not affect resolution as long as he retains official recognition. If official North Korean statements are unavailable or ambiguous, the Secondary Confirmation Mechanism (SCM) will rely on consistent reporting from major international news organizations. Resolution will reflect substantive leadership authority, not rumors. If a definitive determination cannot be made, Futuur may cancel this market with a public explanation.
