Antarctic sea ice minimum to decrease in 2027?

The Antarctic sea ice reaches its minimum each year between February and early March. According to the US National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC), the average monthly Antarctic sea ice extent in February 2026 was 2.91 million square km.
If data for February 2027 indicates that the monthly average extent for Antarctic sea ice levels was lower than 2.91 million square km, this market will resolve to "Yes".
