Andy Burnham out as UK's Prime Minister by...?
Market Rules
This event predicts whether Andy Burnham will leave the office of Prime Minister of the United Kingdom by the dates listed in the markets. For the purposes of this event, "leave office" means that Andy Burnham ceases to hold the position of Prime Minister — through resignation, removal, replacement, or any other cause that ends his premiership, including death or permanent incapacity. Each market below covers one deadline and resolves on its own; any number of these markets may resolve 'Yes'.
Resolution is based on the substantive exit from the office, not temporary incapacity or ceremonial delegation of duties. A resignation announcement alone does not qualify: the market period in which Burnham actually ceases to hold the office is the one that governs. Once a market's condition is met, it resolves to 'Yes' immediately and irrevocably, regardless of later events.
The Primary Designated Sources are official UK government records and announcements, including statements from 10 Downing Street, the UK Cabinet Office, or official parliamentary records confirming the exit of the Prime Minister. If official records are delayed or unclear, confirmation will come from a clear and overwhelming consensus of credible news organizations reporting a change in the office of Prime Minister.
