Which Covid-19 vaccine will be the first to be distributed in Brazil (regardless of emergency or regular approval)?
Market Rules
As of October, 2020, Brazil had four vaccine candidates being tested in its territory, from the following companies: Sinovac (China), AstraZeneca/Oxford (England), BionTech/Pfizer (USA/German), and Janssen Pharmaceuticals (USA). They were all in phase III trials, and still recruiting volunteers.
Due to agreements between these companies and Brazil's government, any vaccine tested in the country has a head start to become the first to be distributed for the population, given that its safety and effectiveness is proven. But there is still a chance that none of them will be "The Chosen One", and a different vaccine is approved first.
The alternative that mentions the name of company whose vaccine is the first one to be distributed in Brazil to any group that is not part of the phase III trials will be considered the winning outcome of this market. It is irrelavant for that is the approval for its distribution is a regular approval or an emergency approval.
