Claude Joseph stepped down as prime minister of Haiti on July 19, 2021, so Ariel Henry could take office. Despite having been nominated prime minister by president Jovenel Moïse before he was assassinated, Henry had not yet been sworn in by the time of Moïse's murder, and his rise to power was not unanimously accepted.

If Ariel Henry remains in office as the prime minister of Haiti through December 31, 2022, this market will resolve to “Yes”.
