Brazil to join OPEC by the end of 2024?
Market Rules
In October of 2019, Saudi Arabia has informally invited Brazil to join the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). After that, the Brazilian Minister of Energy Bento Albuquerque started conducting negotiations surrounding the topic, as Brazil remains a huge oil exporter to the world.
If by the end of 2024 Brazil obtains the status of member of OPEC this market will resolve to "Yes". This condition will NOT be fulfilled if Brazil becomes part of the non-member associates of OPEC+.
