Brazil to join the OECD by the end of 2026?
Market Rules
Brazil is a candidate for accession to the Organization for the Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) along with other nations such as Peru, Romania, Bulgaria, and Croatia. Despite having already introduced more legal instruments required by that organization than other candidates have, Brazil still faces resistance from some members of the OECD and must complete a roadmap set by the organization.
This market will resolve to “Yes” if, by December 31st, 2026, Brazil signs the instrument of accession to the organization, deposits that instrument with the French government (depository of the OECD Convention), and ratifies it internally in the Brazilian parliament.
