Jamie Dimon to run for any elective public office in 2024?
Market Rules
On May 31st, 2023, JPMorgan Chase’s CEO Jamie Dimon stated to Bloomberg TV that maybe he’d serve his country “in one capacity or another”. Dimon’s statement resonated with some observers, such as hedge fund manager Bill Ackman, who said the banker should run for US president in 2024, and the hosts of the All-In Podcast on episode 131.
If Jamie Dimon runs for a public elective office in the Legislative or Executive branches, either in the federal or state level, by the US general elections of November 2024, this market will resolve to “Yes”. Dimon will be considered running for office either if he formalizes paperwork with the competent electoral commission or if a political party confirms him publicly as a candidate.
