Even though Jamaica gained independence from the United Kingdom in 1982, the country is still part of the British Commonwealth and has the British Monarch as its head of state.
If a legal change, such as (but not limited to) a referendum, prescribing change from the Monarchical to Republican regime, even if gradually, is approved by the end of 2024, this market will also resolve to “Yes”.
