Yoav Gallant arrested by July 1?
Market Rules
This market aims to predict whether the arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) against former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant will be executed by July 1, 2025. The market will be resolved as “Yes” if Gallant is formally detained by law enforcement authorities acting under ICC orders or by an agreement for extradition. Additionally, in case of voluntary surrender, the market will also resolve as “Yes”.
The market will resolve as “Yes” exclusively in the case of Gallant’s detention to comply with ICC orders. Actions initiated by domestic courts or other international entities other than the ICC do not qualify for this market.
On November 21, 2024, the ICC’s Pre-Trial Chamber I issued an arrest warrant against Benjamin Netanyahu for crimes against humanity and war crimes committed between October 8, 2023, and May 20, 2024. This market will consider this arrest warrant as well as any other arrest warrants, though not necessarily for the same offenses, issued by the ICC until the market’s closing date.
