Market Rules

This event predicts whether Inquiry #4781, known as the Fake News Inquiry, will be formally closed or archived by Brazil’s Supreme Court (STF) between January 1, 2026 and December 31, 2026 (inclusive). The Primary Designated Source (PDS) will be official STF records or decisions indicating the closure or archiving of the inquiry.

If Inquiry #4781 is formally closed or archived by the STF during this period, this market will resolve to "Yes". Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If only some aspects of the inquiry are closed while the inquiry continues in substance, Futuur will use its discretion to assess whether this constitutes a substantive closure. If official STF records are unclear, the Secondary Confirmation Mechanism (SCM) will rely on consistent reporting from major Brazilian news organizations. Resolution will reflect the substantive status of the inquiry, not minor procedural technicalities. If a definitive determination cannot be made, Futuur may cancel this market with a public explanation.
