Emergency Fed meeting in 2026?
Market Rules
This event predicts whether the U.S. Federal Reserve will convene an unscheduled or emergency meeting at any time between January 1, 2026 and December 31, 2026 (inclusive). For this market, an emergency meeting means a meeting not part of the regularly scheduled Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) calendar. The Primary Designated Source (PDS) will be official Federal Reserve or FOMC announcements confirming such a meeting.
If the Federal Reserve announces or holds an unscheduled/emergency meeting during this period, this market will resolve to "Yes". Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". Rescheduling of previously planned meetings will not count. If official announcements are unclear, the Secondary Confirmation Mechanism (SCM) will rely on consistent reporting from major financial news organizations. Resolution will reflect the substantive occurrence of an unscheduled meeting, not calendar adjustments. If a definitive determination cannot be made, Futuur may cancel this market with a public explanation.
