Will any new country trigger the process to become a CSTO member in 2026?
Market Rules
This event predicts whether any country will formally initiate the process to become a member of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) at any time between January 1, 2026 and December 31, 2026 (inclusive). The Primary Designated Source (PDS) will be official statements by the CSTO or the applicant country confirming the initiation of accession procedures.
If any country officially declares during this period that it has begun the formal process to join the CSTO, this market will resolve to "Yes". Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". Expressions of interest or informal discussions without formal initiation will not count. If official statements are ambiguous, the Secondary Confirmation Mechanism (SCM) will rely on consistent reporting from major international news organizations. Resolution will reflect substantive initiation of the accession process, not exploratory talks. If a definitive determination cannot be made, Futuur may cancel this market with a public explanation.
